All was going well; walls getting plastered and various other bits being completed when the plasterer injured his shoulder ?.


Not the end of the world, him and his team could finish the walls for now and return to the ceilings when he was up to it. This actually helped as there was a delay with the staircase delivery and fitting so I was secretly relieved! Staircase was fitted and the subsequent walls which had to be built to house the downstairs wc proved to be a lot more tricky. We got there in the end and the carpenter did a great job.

Ok, so we are finally ready for plastering to be complete. Excellent! Painter can be scheduled in, along with kitchen fitting and flooring…

Then, the dreaded call on a Sunday afternoon from the plasterer, telling me that he’d had a nasty fall and fractured some ribs and would be out of action for between 4 and 6 weeks ?. Thankfully he was not hurt seriously but appreciated that we couldn’t wait this long for him to return so time to find someone to finish off the job…
