Welcome to 2021. As much as I was sad that works had stopped for the Christmas period, it was a good time to relax and enjoy the festive activities with the family (although a limited number!).
Anyway, the site was a hive of activity for the first week of the year…loft opening finished, back boxes for sockets and light switches in and UFH manifold connected up and boxing in of it complete – all in time for the plasterers to arrive the next day ?

I had forgotten how efficient I’d been at the end of last year, ordering all the plaster in advance to make sure I got what was required and it arrived in time for the plasterers….as I subsequently went and ordered it again ?. Note to self – record when you do things this far in advance!
Unfortunately, lockdown strikes again and my plasterer has to deal with personal issues before he can come to site. Thankfully, all the plaster was securely shrink wrapped and we’d taken the precautionary measure of covering with further very thick plastic to protect it from the elements as it had to sit outside for a couple of days!
Once the guys can make it, things start to look good within days. I know they’re cursing me for the vaulted ceilings as they’re a nightmare to do, but once everything is painted I’m sure they’ll look fab ?
